Meet Dr. Harpaul Sandhu
Veterinarian
Dr. Harpaul Sandhu graduated and received his veterinary degree from Punjab Agricultural University in 2009. Dr. Harpaul Sandhu has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Bay Area, California since 2010. Dr. Sandhu worked in the corporate field and private practices. Prior to 2010, he also volunteered his time at animal shelters in the San Joaquin County.
Dr. Sandhu has extensive experience in soft tissue surgery and a background in orthopedic surgeries such as patella luxation, TPLO, femoral head ostectomy, in addition to general preventive pet care. He is also an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the California Veterinary Medical Association.
To further pursue his passion in animal care, he decided to humbly take full responsibility as owner of Ygnacio Animal Hospital here in Walnut Creek CA. He, along with his dedicated team of doctors and staff, strive to provide the best care possible for pets and their owners.
“When I am not devoting my time to providing optimal care for my patients’ health at the hospital, I spend my time with my beautiful wife and adorable daughter along with my two rottweilers and a rescue pup named Coconut. In my free time, I enjoy watching basketball and football. I am truly a very family oriented man. I believe our companions play a very special role in our lives creating a unique bond between owners and their pets’.”
Meet Dr. Harvinder Sandhu
Veterinarian
Dr. Harvinder Sandhu graduated and received her veterinary degree from Punjab Agricultural university in 2009. She is been practicing in the Bay Area since 2010 . She has special interest in internal medicine cases , dermatology and soft tissue surgery . She shares the ownership of Ygnacio Animal hospital with her husband. In her free time she loves to spend time with her husband, thier adorable 4 year old daughter and 2 crazy Rottweilers.
Meet Patience
Patience has been with us since 2020 as one of our receptionists and technician’s assistants. You may have seen her helping the Doctor care for your fur babies during these years with us. When she’s not here she is at school, Patience is striving to become a Registered Nurse. She also enjoys art, reading, and watching anime in her free time.
Meet Lorene
Lorene has been with us since opening in 2018 as well as our best Registered Technician. Lorene is well versed in the knowledge of care for your pet for 30+ years, She will be one of the technicians that you may see during your visit with us. When she is not here with us she is enjoying a nice hallmark movie bundled up with her wonderful 5 cats (Apollo, Anton, Aidan, Luca, and Simi) or Gardening on her free time.
Meet Shawna
Shawna is our newest technician’s assistant here with us, one of the girls who may help the Doctor in your care for your visit. Shawna has spent over 3 years enjoying and working in the vet field. She is striving to hopefully become a registered technician, and continue to put in the love and care for every patient. When she is home and not with us, she is kept busy with her animals; Dogs – Rush and Raven and kitty, Ember. She also loves astrology and has a side gig of making beaded jewelry.
Meet Aimee
Aimee has worked with us since 2021 as one of our Receptionists, Aimee is bilingual and thrives on making sure your pets and your needs are taken care of. Aimee has a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Media Studies and thrives to hopefully one day create movies you may love. When Aimee is not here, she loves to go to conventions, travel and watch anime in her free time.
